Dressed in Diamonds

Salam everyone! Sorry, I have not posted for so long! Sub7an'Allah how quickly time flies! Insha'Allah you are all doing well.....

So, while flipping through magazines, I noticed that there are so many Arabian inspired jewelry lately! Since ancient times, jewelry and body adornments have been popular with Arab girls all over the Middle-East. Jewelry is not only used to decorate the body, but also to showcase class and wealth. There is no particular design that is worn, but gold is very popular. During weddings, jewelry is given to the bride in abundance, usually as a dowry.

From earrings and necklaces to bracelets, rings, and anklets, costume to gold, diamonds, or gemstones, one thing they all have in common: they are all BIG! Yes, yes gaudiness is prevelant! But, of course, everyone has different taste, some people like really simple, but elegant pieces of jewelry and others prefer really flashy, yet CLASSY pieces. Hmm, can ya guess which I prefer :P lol actually, it all really depends on the occasion. No matter what kind you prefer, and whether you're wearing it out or admiring it in your boudoir, jewelry makes us all feel GlaMorOus! Enjoy the pix!

The Launch of Jawaher

On October 19th, Swarovski Elements launched Jawaher, the newest luxury in Arabian fashion. The brand transforms home decor, jewelry and traditional dress into bedazzled style. Jawaher is the Arabic word for jewel. Abayas, sheilas and cellphones are among the many items being bedazzled by fashionistas and bling luvers everywhere, so this launch is quite fitting.

Jawaher features top couture designers from the gulf region including; UAE’s Sweet Lady, Kanzi, Alessandra Rich, Aristeo, Ziad Antoun, Aiisha Ramadan, Toujouri, Biyan, Eric Choong, Melinda Looi, Biyan and Dato Tom Abang Saufi and Rasha Khouri from Dia Boutique.

The Jawaher exhibition will be showcased to the public from October 20th-November 1st 2010 at 24 Great Marlborough St. in London. For more info, click HERE

Belle Noel by Pascal Mouawad

How cute are these goodies from Kim Kardashian's new jewelery line by Pascal Mouawad?! The line is called Belle Noel (Noel is Kim's middle name) and I think it's pretty cute! The 75 piece jewelry line will be available January 2011 at department stores and select shops. Pascal Mouawad is a Lebanese jeweler and has helped launch Nicole Richie's successful House of Harlow line and has worked with other celebrities as well. Here's a sneak peak at the Belle Noel line as well as pictures of Kim K. wearing a pair of door knocker earrings and a unique hair accessory all from Belle Noel.
