Every Girl's Crazy bout a Sharp Dressed Man
"Clean shirt, new shoes
And I don't know where I am goin' to
Silk suit, black tie
I don't need a reason why" **

I have always been fascinated with eras of the past for their amazing fashion sense. I especially love watching vintage movies to admire the fashions from the 1920's-1960's. Everything they wore looked so magical, glamorous and classic, perhaps that's why we try to emulate the styles today!
One thing I've always noticed from watching these classical films and reading descriptions in books I've read set in those times, is just how impeccable the men dressed! I dunno about you, but I think men look great in suits and I'm not talking about an ugly, stuffy weird fitting suit that most men have probably one of sitting in their closets collecting dust until they've got a "special event" to attend, and they take it out and it looks horrible. I think casual everyday well-tailored suits look amazing on men, especially when paired with great shoes. I think the shoes are the most important part of the outfit, it just pulls the outfit together, for us girls too of course. I don't care how cute your outfit is, slip into a pair of ugly shoes and the whole look is terrible.
Anywho, yeah so men should try dressing up a bit more. But don't try TOO hard, cuz that's never good either. Work with what you've got. You don't need to always be in a three piece suit, but you could pair some tailored trousers with a nice button-down shirt, a great belt and classic shoes and that never fails. Every guy has his own style and should definitely incorporate a personal touch to any outfit.
Oh and this is for guys and dolls, I personally don't like sandals, flip flops, etc., AT ALL, on men or women. I think they should be reserved for the beach or at home, or at the nail salon when you're getting a pedicure. It just looks terrible in my opinion. But, whatever, to each their own, right? Anyhow, I looked at a lot of the menswear collections that debut this past week and here are some of my favorites for the men.

Burberry Launches Makeup Line
Christopher Bailey has created Burberry's premiere line of makeup. The collection has been two years in the making and includes lipsticks, eye-shadows, foundations and powders. The collection is simple and classic, Bailey says, “The Burberry girl wears just a trace of makeup — no crazy eyes or crazy lips,” he says. “Makeup should enhance women, not just cover up what they perceive as flaws.” You can shop the collection online at the BURBERRY site or at NORDSTROM starting Monday.
