So, as I mentioned in my last post, I have a sweet tooth that I am pretty proud of :-D and although I prefer my traditional sweets above ALL, living in New York City, everyone knows that Dylan's Candy Bar is the perfect stop to make to indulge in a sweet snack, when my baklava is not readily available.
Today, my best friend and I decided to get lost in this virtual candyland and became practically dizzy with the sights of colors and images of candy EVERYWHERE and even the background music had a sweet theme! So much sweetness going on that the walls were dripping with chocolate, as seen in this picture to the right.
This candy shop has three floors of sweets; two floors of candy and chocolate, and the upper level has an ice cream parlor and a chocolate fountain.Everything looked really good, but we had to be super careful when filling up our goody bags since many soft candies have gelatine and glycerine as main ingredients which are not halal as they tend to be made from animals. Sooooo, my bestie and I decided to be safe and go for the chocolate and hard candied lollipops.
There was also a Barbie theme going on, which made everything pink, which happens to be my favorite color! We didn't go upstairs on today's visit, so I don't have any pictures of the chocolate fountain, but next time, Inshallah :D Here are some more images of our trip, enjoy!!
Jelly Belly Jelly Beans and Jumbo Lollipops!
An array of candy in the first picture, and below, this is the base of the staircase, how cute! ;)
The Barbie theme continues! And below, this variety was made to look like an old-fashioned candy stand, they did a great job and with a very vintage look! Kudos!
